On a balmy 90+ degree July day at Badlands National Park, the Girl Scouts and their leader were having a great time! They’re part of a group of 11 scouts and four leaders from Indianapolis, Indiana.
They said it took three years of selling Girl Scout cookies to fund the South Dakota trip. Kind of makes me reconsider passing on cookie purchases for the last few years. Too many days of just Thin Mints for dinner . . . and a significant lack of will power when there are cookies in the house. So, maybe just a donation, without taking the cookies, is the way to go.
It’s great to see young people enjoying the parks and valuing the special places that have been set aside for future generations!
